Questions about your safari

Contact Kris@souloftheserengetisafari.com and she will be your personal tour coordinator making sure you check off every single item on that safari bucket list! Once you arrive in Africa, your contact will be Tumaini, who can be reached at team@souloftheserengetisafari.com

Yes, when you are with Soul of the Serengeti, you will be placed with Four of our wildlife experts who is also your private driver, and he will greet you the moment your flight arrives in Tanzania and be with you until the moment you are through security and on your way home or to your next destination! He will stay in the guide quarters at the camps and lodges you visit, and will be there to take you on your chosen activities every day!

Yes! As long as you think your child/children will be happy on this type of adventure, we can accommodate them!

We can accommodate 6-7 guests per vehicle, and there are no bad seats in the truck! Our trucks are equipped with large windows and a pop up roof for additional viewing opportunities!

The camps and lodges which will host you will provide a DELICIOUS breakfast, lunch and dinner. If you plan to be out in the bush during breakfast or lunch, they will even pack it for you to go! We will also have your choice of beverages in the refrigerator, including water, soft drinks, beer and wine, as well as snacks for between meals. If you have dietary restrictions, just let us know!

Pack light and pack comfy! You will need layers since Africa can be cool in the mornings and evenings, but warms up during the day time. Wear close toed shoes such as hiking shoes or tennis shoes. Avoid bringing black or dark blue because those colors attract the Tsetse flies - they bite! Bring hair ties and hats to keep your hair out of your face as the truck cruises along the plains! Bring bug spray & sunblock, and a scarf or bandana incase the dust gets to you. It's not always dusty, but they're lightweight so throw one in your bag! And, ladies, those rompers are super cute but not on safari... just think... bathroom situation, need we say more?!

Don't forget to bring outlet converters to make sure anything you need to charge can be plugged into the rooms and truck power adapters. USB ports are popular in Tanzania, so if your phone, computer, camera, any other electronics can be charged with a USB, that's great! And if you're specifically interested in photography, we have a page just for you!

Currently, there are no vaccines required to enter Tanzania, however, it is smart to check the Tanzanian government website before your trip, to confirm this. If you want optional vaccines, check with your local health department and they can assist you. You may want to take preventative pills for Malaria, but this is also not required.

You could go on a Safari for three days or three months, it is truly up to you! We find that you can do EVERYTHING you'd want to do in 7-14 days, depending on what your choice of activities are. If you tell us how much time you have, and what your goals are, we can make a perfect itinerary for you! Take into account international travel and if you are spending nights traveling when you request your time off! A 7 day safari may mean 9 days off from work!
