Close your eyes and imagine this... well wait, close them after you read, then imagine! You wake up to the sound of beautiful birds, but they're sounds you've never heard before. Far off in the distance you hear the trumpeting of elephants as they walk to the watering hole. You take a nice, hot shower, then head to breakfast where the most incredible plate of food is set in front of you, and your steaming hot cup of coffee arrives right on time. You sip some coffee and enjoy your breakfast as your guide gets the truck stocked with beverages and snacks for the day, then he comes to get you.
You load up in the truck and take off on your game drive! The windows are down, the breeze is cool and feels amazing, you look off to the left and just beyond the vast, golden plains, coming over the horizon, is the brightest, BIGGEST sunrise you've ever seen. And just as you're getting your camera out to take a photo, your guide notices a family of lions, lounging under an acacia tree, about to nap from their previous night of hunting. You watch them for a few minutes and continue on your way.
And as much as you can't believe how surreal the first hour of your day was, it ONLY. GETS. BETTER!
